Dhanyachal
In line with the resolve of the revered Swamiji Maharaj, a 25-foot-high Dhanyachal mound will be established, following the Anantashri Brahmandiya Mahayagya held in Panchakot, Baglung in Falgun 2080. The historic pillar carries, in 5-foot sections from the bottom, the images of Shri Mahalakshmi, Shri Sampatlakshmi, Shri Bhogalakshmi, Shri Gyanalakshmi and Shri Mokshalakshmi, and is therefore also called the Panchashri Stambha. About 21,555 quintals of rice paddy were offered at the earlier Mahayagya. The pillar, crowned with Lord Shaligram, bound with gold thread and wrapped in copper sheet, will be taken on a pilgrimage to temples and holy places in various districts before the Mahayagya, and finally installed at the Mahayagya site, where paddy will be offered.
For the purchase of one uniform high-quality paddy, transport and management, Rs. 5,555 per quintal has been fixed.
Ashtachal
Along with the grand Dhanyachal, the Mahayagya will have an Ashtachal. Eight mounds will be established and filled with sesame, barley, wheat, maize, chickpea, black gram, mung bean and mustard. Interested devotees may bring grains available at home and offer them to the Ashtachal.
Special Appeal
Every day, place a handful of rice in a clean vessel at home, consecrate each grain with the name “Shri Ram” with devotion, collect it in a separate box or bag, and bring this sacred rice to offer at the Mahayagya. If you cannot attend in person, you may send a representative. The consecrated rice will be used throughout the Mahayagya to prepare the daily kheer offering to the Lord and for havan. You are also requested to offer, about the size of an amla fruit, soil from your home courtyard, math-mandir, the Tulsi plant and the homes of your ancestors.
